Bluecrest Wellness – Executive £249

The Bluecrest Executive package builds on the Core package also offering an additional test for thyroid function, information about posture and musculoskeletal health along with a physiotherapy helpline service. You will also receive a GP consultation to go through a detailed review of your results and build a personalised 12 month Health Action Plan to help you achieve your health goals.

What does the package include?

This screening package includes a fitness assessment (with pulse oximetry) to determine base aerobic fitness levels as well as readings for BMI (Body Mass Index), muscle mass, body fat mass, body hyrdration, basal metabolic rate and metabolic age calculations. This information can give you a better understanding of your general health and fitness helping you target any areas that need attention through lifestyle or dietary changes.

In addition to the general health and fitness information, a small blood sample will be taken and tested for liver and kidney disease, full lipid/cholesterol panel, check for preventable diabetes and 5 general health markers. Also included is a heart disease and stroke risk assessment to help predict your risk of having a heart attack or stroke within the next 10 years.

You receive a resting ECG (electrocardiogram) test which is important for understanding heart rhythm and detecting irregular heartbeat. You also have the reassurance of ongoing health support with access to a 24/7 private GP helpline – free to use for an entire year.

You also receive a haematology profile which is an extra blood test breaking down the components of your blood. This information can help detect conditions such as leukemia or whether your body is receiving enough oxygen. Furthermore, you’ll receive a test for Ovarian or Prostate cancer. You will need to discuss these additional cancer tests with your health screening advisor to check you fully understand the benefits and limitations of each.

How are results reported?

Your results are all detailed within an easy-to-understand report which will be sent to you in the post within 21 days of your screening. Your results will be sent to whichever address you gave when booking your appointment, so if you would rather receive them at your work please make sure you give the relevant details to the customer care advisor when you call. You are also able to access your results via a secure internet site or with the new Bluecrest mobile app for smartphones.

Where do screening take place?

Bluecrest operates the largest mobile screening network within the UK offering services at 1,742 locations across the country. This means you should be able to find a screening location no more than 10 minutes from your home or work. Screenings are held within private consulting rooms at hotels or conference centres which our customers often find much more relaxed than hospitals.

Alternatively, and depending on the arrangements made with your employer, Bluecrest staff are able to come direct to your offices and hold screenings on-site. If this option is chosen, Bluecrest will work with your employer to communicate the dates agreed to hold screenings on-site.
