Calcium

Calcium is essential for healthy bone and muscle function. As well as building teeth and bones, calcium ensures your nerves function and your muscles contract, enables your blood to clot and helps blood vessel function.

Corrected Calcium

Around half of the calcium in your body is bound by a protein called albumin. Your corrected calcium reading gives you a more accurate view of your true calcium levels.

Phosphate

Your body uses phosphate in energy production, to make DNA and in the formation of teeth and bones. Too much or too little phosphate may suggest problems with your kidney function.

Uric Acid (Gout)

Uric acid is a waste product made from the digestion of protein. Gout is a type of inflammatory arthritis caused by high levels of uric acid in your blood. Excess uric acid can crystallise in your joints, causing sudden and severe pain, swelling and tenderness.
