Follicle Stimulating Hormone

(FSH)

FSH is a hormone produced by the pituitary gland at the base of the brain. In women one of it’s roles is to simulate the growth and development of eggs in the ovaries. In males, FSH stimulates the production of sperm. Levels of FSH that are low or high can indicate reduced fertility.
