We're excited to shine a spotlight on Luqman, our talented IT apprentice who joined us just last year. Since stepping through our doors, Luqman has brought a fresh perspective to our IT department. In this special blog feature, we're eager to share Luqman's unique journey at Bluecrest as he reflects on his experiences and lessons learned along the way

What are your main responsibilities as an

apprentice?

"As an IT Apprentice, my role involves providing user support and troubleshooting hardware. This includes tasks such as replacing faulty components in laptops and addressing software issues like troubleshooting applications. Additionally, I manage support tickets and aim to be the first point of contact in resolving issues."

What made you choose the apprenticeship

route?

"Personally, I've never grasped the concept of truly learning without hands-on experience in a real-world setting. I desired an environment that provides knowledge as I actively engage in practical tasks. I feel that it brings knowledge in a way that can't be given all in a classroom."

What made you choose

Bluecrest?

"I viewed Bluecrest as the ideal company for me. The mission of providing everyone with high quality, high value, and highly accessible, health assessments to everyone struck a chord with me. Given my passion for assisting people, the idea of contributing to the well-being of others, beyond traditional IT support, solidified my choice of Bluecrest. "I would definitely recommend the apprenticeship route to others. It's an excellent means of attaining a qualification while gaining valuable real-world experience simultaneously."
