From our entry-level Active package to our comprehensive Complete package, our general Health MOTs include all the tests you need to take a proactive approach to monitoring and improving your health. All packages have the benefit of ongoing support with our free 24/7 GP helpline.

This package is suitable for males and females aged 18-79, particularly those who are concerned about heart health, stroke and blood clot risks.

This test uses an arm cuff attached to a sphygmomanometer to give your blood pressure result. Systolic and diastolic measurements are taken, helping identify high or low blood pressure.

Your biometric analysis is performed by sending a safe electrical signal through your body via pressure-contact electrodes. You’ll receive a breakdown of the percentages and weights of the various components of your body including muscle mass, visceral fat, body water, metabolic age and more.

An electrocardiogram (ECG) measures the electrical activity of your heart, your heart rhythm and rate. At Bluecrest we use 6-lead ECGs because the limb lead placements are easily accessible and can be done outside of a clinical setting. The information provided by 6-lead ECGs, allows us to screen for an initial problem and then advise individuals to visit their doctor for a fully diagnostic 12-lead ECG when necessary. Although 6-lead ECGs may not always be fully diagnostic on their own, they offer enough information to make informed recommendations for further medical evaluation. They are especially valuable in identifying heart rhythm abnormalities such as atrial fibrillation which is a significant risk factor in developing a stroke. 

Your heart disease & stroke risk test, also called metabolic syndrome, combines test results from your health assessment (including cholesterol, BMI and blood pressure) with other common risk factors (like high blood pressure or having diabetes). Your result will help show the likelihood of you suffering heart disease or stroke in the future.

Peripheral arterial disease (PAD) is a common condition which restricts blood flow to the legs, most likely due to fatty deposits causing narrowing of the arteries (atherosclerosis). This test uses the ABPI (Ankle Brachial Pressure Index) to compare the blood pressure in your leg with the blood pressure in your arm. The test is carried out on 2 limbs (not 4 limbs). This test is only recommended for ages 40-79.

The liver function test looks at ALP (alkaline phosphatase), ALT (alanine aminotransferase), Gamma GT (Gamma-glutamyl transpeptidase), and Bilirubin levels in your blood to understand if you have a normal liver function.

Your blood test for kidney function checks your levels of sodium, urea, and creatinine as these can indicate any issues with kidney function. We also include an eGFR test (estimated glomerular filtration rate) which is a calculation of the amount of blood filtered through your kidneys over a period of time. This useful test is a measurement of how efficiently your kidneys are working.

Your cholesterol test, also called lipid panel, measures Triglycerides, High Density Lipoprotein (HDL), and Low Density Lipoprotein (LDL) in your blood. LDL cholesterol is often referred to as bad cholesterol because high levels contribute to fatty build-ups in the arteries and increase the risk of heart attack, stroke and peripheral arterial disease (PAD). The HbA1c blood test determines your risk of diabetes and is far more accurate than standard glucose testing. While a standard test is a snapshot of your glucose levels at the moment your sample is taken, the HbA1c test measures the average amount of glucose in your blood over the last 2-3 months.

Your essential proteins and iron test measures a number of important proteins found in the blood that are required for healthy bodily function, and iron which is vital for red blood cell production. Low protein levels can sometimes be related to liver or kidney disease, while low iron levels can show iron deficiency.

This test measures the levels of calcium, phosphate and uric acid in your blood. Calcium and phosphate are essential for muscle and nerve function, healthy teeth and bones, and energy function. Deficiencies in these can cause pins and needles, muscle cramps, weakness and tiredness. Uric acid helps test for gout, a painful condition affecting the joints in your body.

Your results will be available 24/7 through My Wellness, our online dashboard and app. You’ll receive an email notification as soon as your results are ready. The dashboard also includes a downloadable PDF, making it easy to share your results with your GP. 

Each reading is clearly explained using a simple red?amber?green flag system, helping you see areas of concern at a glance. Where needed, we’ll provide follow?up advice on diet, lifestyle changes or where to seek further medical review. 

Your lung function test is an assessment of your respiratory health using spirometry. Lung function is often impaired due to respiratory conditions like asthma, bronchitis, emphysema, pulmonary fibrosis or COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease). This test is only recommended for ages 18-79.

This test analyses key inflammation
biomarkers such as high sensitivity C
reactive protein (hsCRP), ferritin and grip strength. The test assesses your body’s inflammatory status and potential for longevity.

Active

Your great value entry level package includes key tests covering your heart health and stroke risk, liver and kidney health, essential proteins and iron, cholesterol levels, diabetes risk and more. **Plus, we’ve just added our NEW Inflammatory Profile for FREE, giving you powerful insights into key inflammation markers and your potential for longevity.**



The Active package is a good entry-level health MOT. It covers a range of areas relevant for males and females who want a basic overview of their health, including **[heart health and stroke risk](https://www.bluecrestwellness.com/test-information/heart-disease-stroke)**. You’ll receive key readings covering heart, liver, kidneys, stroke risk, blood clots right the way through to iron, calcium, cholesterol and diabetes risk, highlighting any risk areas before they become problematic...

On top of the blood tests and body composition analysis, the package also includes a **[lung function check](https://www.bluecrestwellness.com/test-information/lung-function-check)** for COPD and an **[ECG heart rhythm check](https://www.bluecrestwellness.com/test-information/heart-rhythm-check)** for atrial fibrillation (a common condition which can increase your risk of stroke up to 5 times). If you’re looking for a general set of baseline tests, this is the package for you.

As well as all the checks included in the Active package, your Core package includes a Blood Health Profile, giving an additional 10 key readings including platelets, white and red blood cell counts. This test is worth £85, but when you upgrade to the Core, all it will cost you is £60.

This package is suitable for males and females aged 18-79, particularly those who are concerned about heart and blood health, stroke and blood clot risks.

This test examines your blood health by checking your haemoglobin levels (including Mean Cell Haemoglobin or MCH) and red blood cell count (also known as an erythrocyte count). Abnormal haemoglobin levels can sometimes be a result of heart and lung diseases, while MCH and red blood cell count abnormalities can be caused by anaemia or vitamin deficiency.

This test assesses your white blood cell (WBC) count and platelet count. Platelets are cell fragments which help your blood to clot. A platelet count which is too high or low can indicate thrombocytosis or immune system deficiencies. Your WBC count includes neutrophils, lymphocytes, monocytes, eosinophils and basophils. These are part of your body's immune system, helping your body fight infection and disease. A low WBC count can increase your risk of getting infections, while a high WBC can commonly indicate that your body is trying to fight an infection. On some rare occasions high WBC can sometimes be caused by certain cancers, including leukaemia.

Core

As well as all the checks included in the Active package, your Core package also includes a blood health profile worth £85, giving an additional 10 readings covering several conditions which affect the blood.

Building on the Active package, the Core package provides you with a more detailed overview of your heart health and stroke risk, with the addition of a **[blood health profile](https://www.bluecrestwellness.com/test-information/blood-health)**. Including red blood cells, white blood cells and platelet count, this important test provides a greater insight into common blood disorders including Anaemia, haemophilia and clotting disorders. An abnormal white blood cell count may indicate low immunity or could be indicative of an infection or very occasionally could be suggestive of something more serious such as a blood cancer. Detected abnormalities would require you to undertake more testing with your own GP.

As well as all the checks included in the Core package, your Complete package includes a specialist Lipoprotein (a) blood test, plus a Private GP Consultation to discuss your full Results Report in detail at a time and date that suits you. 

These extras cost £178 when bought separately, but you'll only pay £160 when you upgrade to the Complete package today.

This package is suitable for males and females aged 18-79. It’s particularly aimed at those who want a complete overview of their heart, artery and blood health, stroke risk and more.

After you've received your results report, you can book your Private GP Consultation (which takes place over phone or webcam) at a time and date convenient to you. The GP will have a copy of your full results report, allowing you to talk through any areas of concern.

This specialist test measures the amount of lipoprotein (a) in your blood. Lipoprotein (a) is a sticky cholesterol rich protein which transports fats in the blood. Similar to LDL (bad) cholesterol, high levels are a risk factor for heart disease and stroke because they can stick to the walls of your arteries, restricting blood flow. This test is currently not available in Northern Ireland.

Complete

Your Heart and Stroke Complete package is the most comprehensive cardiovascular health package we offer. As well as all the checks included in the Core package, your Complete package also includes a Private GP Consultation and a specialist lipoprotein (a) test (not available in Northern Ireland) to check your artery health. **Plus, we’ve just added our NEW Inflammatory Profile for FREE, giving you powerful insights into key inflammation markers and your potential for longevity.**

The Complete package provides you with our most extensive range of non-invasive health tests available. Your cardiovascular, blood and artery health will all be examined and reported back to you in plain English with no medical jargon.
