Advanced Male Hormone Profile

This comprehensive test offers valuable insights into various aspects of male health - particularly reproductive, metabolic, and emotional well-being. A private GP consultation is also included to help your employees understand their results and take any necessary next steps.

The Advanced Male Hormone Profile measures nine key biomarkers in the bloodstream, including important hormones and proteins such as Testosterone, Sex Hormone Binding Globulin (SHBG), Luteinising Hormone (LH), DHEA-S, Oestradiol, Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH), Prolactin, Free Testosterone (calculated), and Albumin.

As this test includes testosterone the blood tests must be carried out before 11am, this is because levels of testosterone in the body are determined by the circadian rhythm.

Support your male employee's health.

Offering an Advanced Men's Hormone Test as part of your employee wellness program can significantly benefit both your workforce and your organisation.

This comprehensive screening provides valuable insights into key hormones that influence a man's reproductive health, energy levels, metabolism, mood, and overall well-being. Hormonal imbalances can lead to issues such as fatigue, weight gain, reduced productivity, and even depression—conditions that often go undiagnosed.

By giving employees access to this advanced test, you empower them to take a proactive approach to their health, potentially catching issues early and improving long-term outcomes. Supporting men’s health in this way promotes a culture of care, enhances performance, reduces absenteeism, and demonstrates your company’s commitment to the total well-being of its team.

Our Advanced Male Hormone profile can be added to any of our business packages for £150.

What is included in this

package?

Please check below to see exactly what is included in this package:

Refers to all forms of testosterone in the bloodstream, including both bound (attached to proteins like SHBG and albumin) and free testosterone (unbound and biologically active). It is the primary male sex hormone (androgen) made by the testes and responsible for sperm production, sex drive, bone mass, muscle size and strength in men. It's normal for your testosterone levels to gradually decline after age 40.
This is a carrier protein produced by the liver. Changes in SHGB levels can affect the amount of testosterone that is available to be used by the body. Abnormal SHBG levels, whether too high or too low, can lead to symptoms related to altered testosterone availability, such as mood swings, low libido, erectile dysfunction, and infertility.
Is a hormone that stimulates the testes to produce testosterone in males. LH causes the Leydig cells in the testes to release testosterone, which is necessary for sperm production. Testosterone also contributes to secondary sex characteristics, such as increased body hair, muscle mass, and a deeper voice.
Is a type of oestrogen that plays a crucial role in male sexuality and reproductive function. Oestradiol regulates sex drive, the ability to achieve erections, and sperm production.
Like LH and FSH, this hormone is produced by the pituitary gland. High levels can indicate liver, kidney and thyroid problems. Sometimes, high levels are caused by a benign tumour on the pituitary gland, which may not show symptoms. When symptoms do show, they include erectile dysfunction, decreased body hair, headaches, vision disturbances and a low sex drive.
Your results will be available 24/7 through ‘My Wellness’, our online dashboard and app. You will receive an email notification as soon as your results are available. Processing times vary by test, with some results accessible on the dashboard in as little as three days. The online dashboard also provides easy access to a downloadable PDF, making it simple to share your results with your GP. Your report explains each test in detail, giving every result a flag of green, amber or red. This helps you identify any areas of concern at a glance. The report gives you follow-up advice on how you could improve your results, and we'll also let you know if any results need further follow-up with your own GP.
Free testosterone is the portion of total testosterone in your bloodstream that is not bound to proteins like sex hormone-binding globulin (SHBG) or albumin. This "free" form of testosterone is biologically active and can easily enter cells to exert its effects on the body.
Is important in male hormones because it acts as a carrier protein, transporting testosterone throughout the bloodstream, meaning it plays a key role in delivering testosterone to its target tissues in the body; however, when bound to albumin, testosterone is not readily available for use, so the level of albumin can influence the "bioavailable" testosterone level in the body.
Is a steroid hormone that plays a number of roles in male development and reproduction. DHEA-S is essential for the development of male secondary sexual characteristics during puberty. The body converts DHEA-S into androgens, such as testosterone and androstenedione, which are male hormones.
Is a hormone that helps control the production and health of sperm in men. FSH is produced in the pituitary gland and travels to the testes, where it signals the cells to produce sperm.
After you've received your results report, you can book your Private GP Consultation (which takes place over phone or webcam) at a time and date convenient to you. The GP will have a copy of your full results report, allowing you to talk through any areas of concern.
