What is a health assessment?
A health assessment, also known as a health check, health MOT or health screening, is a comprehensive review of your overall wellbeing. It includes a range of tests carried out by trained medical professionals to assess both your current health status and potential future risks.
Health assessments can help:
-
Detect early warning signs before symptoms develop.
-
Identify conditions you may be at risk of.
-
Empower you to make positive lifestyle changes.
-
Support long-term monitoring and prevention.

Who should have a health assessment?
Health assessments are suitable for anyone who values their wellbeing and wants to stay informed. While most people start regular assessments around age 40, they can benefit adults of any age, especially those with additional risk factors such as:
-
Previous or existing health conditions
-
Taking regular medication
-
Family history of disease (e.g. cancer, diabetes, heart disease)
-
Unhealthy diet or sedentary lifestyle
-
Overweight or obesity
-
Smoking, alcohol or recreational drug use
If you have one or more of these risk factors, regular health checks can help you monitor your progress and act early when needed.
