The majority of digestive problems can be attributed to your lifestyle, stress, or the foods you eat. But it’s useful to check there’s nothing going on behind the scenes which could cause bloating, stomach pain or diarrhoea. This package includes test for common, and frequently undiagnosed, conditions. These include lactose and gluten intolerance, IBS, Crohn’s disease and H Pylori infection. Although your GP may need to investigate further, these tests are a good starting point to help gauge the health of your digestive system and gut. You’ll be given full preparation instructions prior to your appointment. But it’s important to point out that to ensure accurate results for the lactose and gluten intolerance tests, you’ll need to keep both lactose and gluten in your diet in the weeks leading up to your appointment.
*Full price based on purchasing tests individually. Discount applied for purchasing tests as a package. All our tests have been specially designed to be convenient and non-invasive. Once you’ve booked your appointment, full preparation instructions will be provided in your confirmation email or letter. You can continue to eat and drink normally before your appointment, and you’ll also remain fully clothed throughout.

Faecal calprotectin is a substance your body secretes when there is inflammation in your intestines. It’s a useful tool to help assess digestive problems including Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD), Crohn’s and Ulcerative colitis.
Gluten intolerance is a common and treatable condition in which gluten found in wheat, barley and rye triggers an immune reaction and chronic inflammation of the small intestine. Around 1 in 100 people in the UK are gluten intolerant.
Lactose intolerance is a common digestive problem. It’s not actually an allergic reaction to lactose (milk sugar). Instead it’s your inability to digest lactose because you have low levels of lactase, the enzyme responsible for breaking-down lactose in your body. If the lactose you eat can’t be digested normally, it passes through your body to produce acidic stools.
